Co-Founder and COO
Dealtree
Inc
Laguna Hills, CA |
Dealtree
is a
reverse-logistics company
specializing in open box returns for
distributors, e-tailers and
retailers. We open, inspect,
refurbish and resell these products
on
ebay,
yahoo
and other online auction
marketplaces.
After gaining insight into the
challenges of reverse logistics at
Buy.com,
I knew that I could put together a
process of handling open box and
end-of-life returns more
efficiently, and with much better
financial recovery than those
companies who were providing those
services now. Over a period of 12
months I designed a scalable returns
management, merchandising, and
logistics software platform solution
needed to bring for the business
model to be profitable and
successful.
Incorporated in 2001, Dealtree has
been providing services to some of
the largest and most successful
Distributors, e-tailers, and Catalog
Dealers of Electronics, Computers
and Software.

Sr
Supply Chain Manager
Buy.com
Aliso Viejo, CA |
Buy.com
is a pure-play
internet reseller, with no
inventory, no warehouses and no
regular means of dealing with the
everyday logistics and distribution
problems that come with the
territory of internet retailing. As
Senior Supply chain manager, I
developed supply chain partners and
automation solutions with our
logistics and distribution partners,
including
United
Stationers,
Las Vegas Golf,
Ingram Micro,
and
BrightPoint
to name a few.

Sr
Product Manager
Onvia.com
Seattle, WA |
Onvia.com
started
out as a pure-play internet
reseller, but evolved into an online
marketplace for resellers and
service providers to bid on
Government Bids and Contract. As one
of the earlier employees of the
company, I helped establish and
integrate distribution partnerships
for both Canada (where the company
started) and the USA operations.

Director
of Purchasing and IT
Monk
Office Supply,
Victoria BC Canada |
Monk
had all the
advantages and disadvantages of a
family owned business. While at Monk
I drove the company's growth in the
use of technology as a tool to
automate, manage and streamline an
otherwise inefficient operation. As
Director of Purchasing and IT, I
brought Monk into the 90's
developing it's sales, distribution
and purchasing systems, as well as
establishing
monk.ca
as one of the very first internet
office products dealers (that's
before
OfficeDepot.com
or
Staples.com
too).

Product Manager and Buyer
Shaben
International Inc,
Edmonton Alberta Canada |
In 1992
Shaben
became western Canada's Largest Toy
and Stationery distributor and
jobber for the Drug and Grocery
Store trade. As Product Manager and
Buyer, I established Shaben's import
programs for non-toy categories,
including bringing on Nation
Distribution deals such as Timex,
and Pentech. Since the software for
managing the open-to-buy of
thousands of SKU's did not exist, I
wrote my own forecasting software,
inventory management and purchasing
software, that is still in use
today.

Director of Purchasing and
Distribution
S.P. Richards (Norwestra Division)
Vancouver Canada |
Back in 1990,
while at
S.P. Richards,
(Norwestra
at the time), I helped evolve the
company from a small, family run
distribution business, to the
largest distributor of commercial
office products in Canada. At
Norwestra, I developed their first
CP (Computerized Purchasing)
Software, allowing Norwestra's
customers to browse and order office
products through and online software
tool running on a DOS platform.
